CALL TO ORDER <br />A. Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag <br />B. Roll Call <br />PRESENT: Council Members Galvan, Glaze, Grant, Lothrap, Nardine; <br />Mayor Young <br />ABSENT: Council Member Loeffler <br />2. PRESENTATIONS <br />A. Presentation of Commendation to Paul Cayere, Out-Going President of the San <br />Leandro Chamber of Commerce. <br />Paul Cayere was present to accept his Commendation. <br />B. Commendation Recognizing Bob Grazzini's 40`~ Anniversary as an Educator at <br />Bishop O'Dowd High School. <br />Bob Grazzini was present to accept his Commendation. <br />3. PUBLIC HEARINGS <br />None <br />4. PUBLIC COMMENTS <br />Public Comments are limited to 5 minutes per person, for a total time period of one <br />hour. When you address the City Council, you should fill out a speaker card and <br />submit it to the City Clerk so the order of speakers may be determined and an official <br />record of names and addresses obtained. The public is invited to make any comments <br />related to Agenda items, or other items of public interest, at this time. <br />A. Paul Vargas, 872 Portola Drive, addressed the Council regarding their New <br />Business item this evening regarding consideration of eminent domain proceedings <br />for 1444 Marina Boulevard. He stated the General Motors facility is posing no <br />threat to public safety and is not a public nuisance. He feels the City is considering <br />the taking of this property for the sole financial enrichment of the Lloyd Wise <br />project. He indicated this property will end up a vacant, faceless lot of tar. <br />
