<br /> <br />Minutes -City of San Leandro City Council and Page 10 <br />San Leandro Redevelopment Agency Joint Special Meeting -- June 14,1999 <br />"If the Redevelopment Advisory Committee or its successor body (if <br />any) so directs. the The following projects shall be submitted to the <br />Planning Commission for review and recommendation prior to <br />submittal to the Redevelopment Agency." <br />Appendix C, Section 2: The RAC requests the Planning <br />Commission's recommended language be modified to indicate that <br />"...the Agency will use, its best efforts to coordinate these <br />programs...." <br />In addition to the above changes, the RAC also recommends the following <br />change to the MacArthur Boulevard Master Streetscape and Gateway <br />Plan project description to ensure adequate design flexibility: <br />Appendix C, Section 2. c: Change the second to the last line to read: <br />The Project could should include narrowing MacArthur to create <br />more parking and wider sidewalks and should create distinctive <br />gateways into San Leandro. <br />M/S/C Glaze and Nardine. Ayes: 5; Noes: Loeffler; Absent: Young <br />4. PUBLIC HEARING -- CITY COUNCIL ONLY <br />A. Matter of TEFRA Hearing Regarding Villa San Leandro; to Hear and Consider <br />Information Concerning the Proposed Issuance by the California Statewide <br />Communities Development Authority (CSCDA), on Behalf of the City of San <br />Leandro, of Multi-Family Housing Revenue Bonds to Finance the Acquisition, <br />Construction and Development of an Approximately 72-Unit, Assisted-Living, <br />Multi-Family Rental Housing Project Located at 345 Davis Street (formerly 1240 <br />Clarke Street); to Be Known as Villa San Leandro ("Project"). <br />-- The Developer, William Foster, has requested that this matter be <br />withdrawn. <br />This matter was withdrawn and no Council action was taken. Council Member <br />Glaze asked for the status of the project, and staff clarified for him that the <br />property has been acquired, and they own the property "in fee." <br />
