PUBLIC HEARINGS <br />Public Hearing Comments are limited to 5 minutes per person. When you address the <br />City Council, you should fill out a speaker card and submit it to the City Clerk so the <br />order of speakers may be determined and an official record of names and addresses <br />obtained. <br />A Matter of Adoption of City Manager's Proposed Budget, 1999-2000 Fiscal Year <br />(including the San Leandro Redevelopment Agency, San Leandro Economic <br />Development Agency, San Leandro Housing Finance Corporation, and the San <br />Leandro Public Financing Authority). (If necessary, the City Council will adjourn <br />the Public Hearing to Tuesday, June 22, 1999, at 7:00 p.m.) <br />This being the time and place for the Public Hearing on the above matter, John <br />Jerrnanis, City Manager, made opening remarks regarding the proposed 1999-2000 <br />budget. A power-point presentation was made regarding the proposed budget, <br />which included recommendations for City Council consideration. <br />The Hearing was then opened to the public. <br />Ken Pon, 2'762 Lakeview Drive, addressed the City Council in opposition to <br />cutting services to youth in San Leandro through the Community Services <br />Department reductions. He indicated there is a trend toward families with multiple <br />kids moving to San Leandro, and those families bring in sales tax revenues. <br />
