Matter of Confirmation of Cost Assessments for Sidewalk Construction for the <br />Breed/Lewis Neighborhood Improvement District, Project No. 98-144-38-132. <br />This being the time and place for the Public Hearing on the above matter, Uche <br />Udemezue, City Engineer, gave a brief staff report regarding the assessment for <br />sidewalk construction for the BreedlLewis Neighborhood Improvement District. <br />The Mayor indicated that there were no requests to address the City Council filed <br />with the City Clerk this evening. <br />The following Resolution was then introduced: <br />-- Resolution No. 99-105, Resolution Confirming Special Assessments for Cost <br />of Sidewalk, Driveway, Curb, and Gutter Construction for the Breed/Lewis <br />Neighborhood Improvement District, Improvement Act of 1911, Project No. <br />98-144-38-132, List No. 99-4 (confirms the Report of the Superintendent of <br />Streets and assesses the cost of repairs to the property owners against the <br />adjoining properties, and directs the Accounting Officer to file a lien on each <br />assessed property with the County Auditor). JOINT CITY COUNCIIJSAN LEANDRO REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY <br />HEARING <br />This Hearing is Open Only to the Affected Local Taxing Entities. The Public Hearing <br />Was Held on June 14, 1999. <br />A. Matter of the Affected Local Taxing Entities Hearing for the Redevelopment Plan <br />for the Proposed West San Leandro/MacArthurBnulevard Redevelopment Project <br />Area (provides for hearing of testimony from affected local taxing entities, <br />regarding the proposed adoption of the Redevelopment Plan for the West San <br />Leandro/MacArthurBnulevard Redevelopment Project Area). <br />This being the time and place for the Hearing on the above matter, the City <br />Attorney indicated Redevelopment law requires an opportunity be given for the <br />affected taxing entities to appear before the City Council before the final <br />Ordinance approving the Redevelopment Plan is adopted. He said notice was <br />given to the taxing agencies, and the taxing agencies have chosen not to appear <br />tonight. Therefore, there is no Hearing to conduct. <br />One taxing agency has given the Redevelopment Agency staff some comments on <br />the Plan. Those comments have been included as part of the record; but, there is <br />no appearance here tonight by a taxing agency. He concluded by recommending <br />
