r ,~, <br />Minutes -City of San Leandro City Council and Page 18 <br />San Leandro Redevelopment Agency Joint Meeting -July 19,1999 <br />The following Resolution was then introduced: <br />-- Resolution No. 99-123, Resolution Approving Installation of Speed Humps at <br />Various Locations Throughout the City (139' Avenue between Rose Drive and <br />East 14~' Street; Alexandria Street between Manor Boulevard and Beatrice Street; <br />Eveleth Avenue between Castro Street and Marina Boulevard; Kesterson Street <br />between Manor Boulevard and Beatrice Street; and West Broadmoor Boulevard <br />between San Leandro Boulevard and Pershing Drive). (1022/1004) <br />M/S/C Glaze and Galvan. Ayes: 6; Noes: 0; Absent: Lothrop <br />A. Ordinance No. 99-027, An Ordinance Relating to Speed Limits, Title VI, Chapter <br />1 of the San Leandro Municipal Code, Establishes Maximum Speed Limits of 30, <br />35, and 40 Miles Per Hour on Various Street Segments Citywide. (The California <br />Vehicle Code requires the City to conduct engineering and traffic surveys on all <br />streets on the Federal-Aid System Map to justify the posted speed limits in order <br />to maintain radar enforcement.) CONTINUED PUBLIC COMMENTS <br />Continued Public Comments is limited to the balance of speaker cards that have been <br />submitted to the City Clerk and any new speakers who have not been heard. <br />Comments will be limited to 5 minutes per speaker. <br />A. Justin Agrella, 1231- 148' Avenue, addressed the City Council, indicating the <br />crime rate may be down overall, but figures on the website do not indicate that to <br />be true as some of the most heinous crimes are up in numbers. <br />
