The Public <br />Hearing was closed. <br />Option 1 <br />-- Motion Approving in Concept the Revised Site Plan for the HoteUSelf-Storage <br />Facility and Referring the Applications for the Rezoning (A-99-2) and the <br />Planned Development (PD-99-2) Back to the Planning Commission for a <br />Public Hearing and Recommendation to the City Council. <br />-- Motion <br />Option 2 <br />-- Resolution Denying A-99-2, Reclassification from CC Community Commercial <br />District to CC (PD) Community Commercial Planned Development Overlay <br />District and PD-99-2, Planned Development to Construct a 120-Room Hotel <br />and a 150,000-Square Foot, Self-Storage Facility; 524-526 Lewelling <br />Boulevard; Assessor's Parcel Number 412-11-1-7, K. Boersma, Property Owner; and <br />Adopting Findings Related Thereto. <br />This being the time and place for the Public Hearing on the above matter, Hansen <br />Hom, Planning Manager, reviewed the proposal the City Council discussed on <br />September 7, 1999, and gave an overview of the changes that have been made to <br />the project since it was last before the City Council. Mr. Hom then reviewed with <br />the City Council the two options on this evening's Agenda, noting it is staff's <br />recommendation that the Ciry Council approve the concept for the revised site plan <br />and that the project be referred back to the Planing Commission for a Public <br />Hearing and further recommendations to the Ciry Council. <br />Brief City Council discussion ensued regarding the wall that will be facing the San <br />Lorenzo residents, and they indicated a desire for the developer to do some sort of <br />landscaping to soften the effects. <br />
