Minutes -City of San Leandro City Council and Page 15 <br />San Leandro Redevelopment Agency Joint Meeting -November 15, 1999 <br />Council Member Glaze indicated he would be supportive of what Council Member <br />Loeffler feels his constituents want. <br />Council Member Loeffler indicated he would like to see this item deferred, so that <br />it can be reviewed in more detail. <br />Mayor Young suggested staff defer action for one meeting so a summary of the <br />capital improvement program regarding the gateway entries and neighborhood <br />meeting information may be brought back to the City Council. It was further <br />noted Council Member Loeffler would be willing to host a meeting in his District <br />to see where the residents stand on this proposal. <br />The following Motion was then introduced: <br />-- Minute Order No. 99-73, Resolution Approving Plans and Specifications and <br />Calling for Bids for aCity-Wide Entry Sign at San Leandro Boulevard, Project <br />No. 99-210-33-133 (provides for construction of a City entry monument to be <br />located at San Leandro Boulevard, at the Oakland border, as part of the overall <br />City-wide Entry Sign Program. Bid opening date is December 14, 1999). <br />(2878) <br />The City Council continued the matter of approval of Plans and <br />Specifications and Calling for Bids for aCity-Wide Entry Sign at San <br />Leandro Boulevard, Project No. 99-210-33-133, to the January 18, 2000, <br />City Council Meeting. <br />MIS/C Loeffler and Lothrop. Ayes: 5; Noes: 0; Absent: Galvan and <br />Nardine <br />C. Resolution Approving Plans and Specifications and Calling for Bids for Doolittle <br />Drive Sewer Rehabilitation, Project No. 99-593-52-117 (provides for repair of <br />existing sewer and manholes on Doolittle Drive. Bid operung date is December <br />14, 1999). <br />Uche Udemezue, City Engineer, gave a brief staff report regarding the proposed <br />project. <br />Council Member Lothrop stated she would recommend doing the project in the <br />least obtrusive way for the residents along Doolittle Drive, as well as giving plenty <br />of advance notice to the residents about when the work will take place. <br />
