Minutes -City of San Leandro City Council Meeting <br />December 20, 1999 <br />Page 8 <br />Given the desire to hear from the public regarding airport noise and the need for a <br />forum to hear the community regarding airport issues in general, the City Council <br />expressed the desire to consider creating a new "standing" committee regarding <br />airport issues. The need to have a clear task for the Committee was noted, and the <br />Mayor indicated when the issue of the standing committee comes before the City <br />Council that concern will be addressed. <br />The following Motion was then introduced: <br />-- Minute Order No. 99-76, Matter of Approval of Airport Ad Hoc <br />Committee's Recommendations. The City of San Leandro Suggests to the <br />Port of Oakland: (1) That a Noise Monitor Be Returned to the <br />Broadmoor/Creekside Area; (2) That Further Testing of the Flight Route <br />Changes Be Done; and {3) That Data from the Broadmoor/Creekside Noise <br />Monitor Continue to Be Collected and Analyzed by the Group to Determine <br />the Level of Disturbance Created in This Area if Flight Routes Are Changed. <br />(1215/1270) <br />The City Council approved the Airport Ad Hoc Committee's <br />recommendations, wherein the City of San Leandro will send a letter to <br />the Port of Oakland, suggesting: <br />(1) That a noise monitor be returned to the Broadmoor/Creekside Area; <br />(2) Implementing flight route changes subject to continued testing; and <br />(3) That data from the Broadmoor/Creekside noise monitor continue to <br />be collected and analyzed by the group to determine the level of <br />disturbance created in this area if flight routes are changed. <br />M/S/C Lothrop and Loeffler. Ayes: 7; Noes: 0 <br />D. Minute Order No. 99-77, Matter of Approval and Acquisition of City Council <br />Technology Resources. (1044/2416) <br />The City Council: <br />(1) Approved the list of City Council Technology Resources; <br />(2) Approved a Budget Adjustment in the amount of 544,170 for acquisition <br />of the City Council Technology Resources; <br />(3) Referred the matter of the City Council Agenda Packet to the City <br />Council Facilities Committee for inclusion in their discussions regarding <br />the City Council Chambers; <br />
