Resolution No. 98-14, Resolution Designating Restricted Parking, <br />Handicapped Parking, Title VI, Chapter 1 of the San Leandro Municipal <br />Code, 140th Avenue (provides for an on-street, handicapped parking stall <br />on 140th Avenue, east of East 14th Street, for a doctor's office). <br />(1022) <br />6. NEW BUSINESS <br />A. Resolution Approving the New Alameda County Transportation Plan and <br />Recommendations to Alameda County Board of Supervisors to Place a <br />Proposition to Extend the One-Half-Cent Sales Tax on the June 1998 <br />Ballot (provides for adopting expenditure plan for the reauthorization <br />of the one-half-cent sales tax and recommending that the County Board of <br />Supervisors put the Proposition on the June 1998 ballot). <br />Christine Munsen, Alameda County Transportation Authority, explained the <br />Expenditure Plan in greater detail. She noted that there is one change <br />to the Bart project. The title of the project shall read "BART/Rail <br />Extension to Warm Springs." <br />Council discussion ensued regarding railroad tracks, and it was noted <br />that, if they are abandoned, they could be used for other transportation <br />options. <br />Council Member Glaze requested that Mr. Tony Santos be sent a letter, <br />indicating the City's support for Measure B and how important it is to <br />our community. <br />The following Resolution was then introduced: <br />Resolution No. 98-15, Resolution Approving the New Alameda County <br />Transportation Plan and Recommendations to Alameda County Board of <br />Supervisors to Place a Proposition to Extend the One-Half-Cent Sales Tax <br />on the June 1998 Ballot (provides for adopting expenditure plan for the <br />reauthorization of the one-half-cent sales tax and recommending that the <br />County Board of Supervisors put the Proposition on the June 1998 <br />ballot). An Ordinance Amending Section 3-5-100 of Title III, Chapter 5 and <br />Section 4-11-100 of Title IV, Chapter 11 of the San Leandro Municipal <br />Code Regulating Pot-Bellied Pigs. <br />Council Member Glaze suggested and Council discussion ensued regarding <br />the issue of the height and weight limits, and Council agreed to a limit <br />of not over 250 pounds, with the removal of a height limit. <br />The Ordinance was amended to remove the height limit and to limit the <br />weight to 250 pounds. <br />
