Minutes - City of San Leandro City Council February 2, 1998 Page - 3 - H. Howard Kerr, 15388 Norton Street, addressed the Council, expressing his support for increasing the weight in the Pot Bellied Pig Ordinance to 200 pounds or more. He also expressed concerns with railroad tracks within San Leandro and concluded by urging the community, as well as the Council, to be supportive of the one-half-cent sales tax measure on the June 1998 ballot. I. Lou Filipovich, 15376 Laverne Drive, addressed the Council, recalling events as they related to Mr. Korematsu's experiences, that the Minutes do not reflect what actually happens during the Council Meeting, that he would like to see more public participation, and that the Council should kill the gun-control ordinance by rescinding it. 5. CONSENT CALENDAR Consent Calendar items are typically routine in nature and are considered for approval by the City Council with one single action. The City Council may remove items from the Consent Calendar for purposes of discussion. Items listed on the Consent Calendar are deemed to have been read by title. Council Member Young requested that the Minutes for January 12, 1998, be amended to reflect, on page 9, that she had asked that the Council be responsive to the needs in District 6, and that it not state that she asked that the item be continued. Council Member Glaze clarified that there were CDBG moneys available for small business loans. The Consent Calendar was approved as follows: M/S/C Loeffler and Young. Ayes: 7; Noes: 0 A. Resolution No. 98-12, Resolution of the San Leandro City Council Approving Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Small Business Loan and Regulatory Agreement - Ronald Johnson, Antiquities (provides for financial assistance in the amount of $22,000 to a small business, as outlined in the City's "CDBG Economic Development - Small Business Loan Guidelines").
