Council Member Polvorosa commented that Mr. Brooks was an active <br />member of the Washington Manor Homeowners' Association for many <br />years, as well as the Little League; involved in the maintenance of <br />Manor Park; was founder of the first Easter Egg Hunt for Washington <br />Manor, which has since been a long-standing tradition; and he never <br />once looked for notoriety, but did it all for the love of his family, <br />children, and community. <br />10. Council Member Glaze stated he remembers when Bob Brooks ran for City <br />Council and lost. Although he didn't succeed, he never gave up on <br />the community. He was actively involved in Washington Manor Park and <br />was instrumental in the bond measure that passed for schools. He <br />further noted that Bob Brooks cared about the community and its <br />future. In conclusion, Council Member Glaze stated he hopes the rich <br />heritage Mr. Brooks leaves us is maintained. <br />9.
