Roll Call <br />PRESENT: Council Members Galvan, Glaze, Loeffler, Polvorosa, Young; <br />Mayor Corbett <br />ABSENT: Council Member Lothrop <br />2. PRESENTATIONS <br />A. Proclamation Designating April 1998 as Earthquake Preparedness Month. <br />Dan Lunsford accepted the Proclamation for Earthquake Preparedness <br />Month. <br />B. Presentation of Certificates of Appreciation to Community Members Who <br />Exemplify the Spirit of the City's Partnership for Preparedness Program <br />In Disaster Preparedness: JoAnn Ach, Marybeth Barloga, Kimberly <br />Lilijequist, Jack Mackinnon, and Jean Schroeder. <br />Certificates of Appreciation were presented to and JoAnn Ach, Marybeth <br />Barloga, Kimberly Lilijequist, and Jack Mackinnon were present to accept <br />them. <br />C. Presentation of Community Diversity Award to the Chamber of Commerce and <br />Ms. Christine Froehlich for Outstanding Contributions to Celebrate <br />Diversity in the City of San Leandro. <br />Christine Froehlich was present to accept her plaque for Outstanding <br />Contribution to Celebrate Diversity, and Paul Cayere and Rose Johnson <br />were present to accept a plaque on behalf of the Chamber of Commerce. <br />3. PUBLIC HEARINGS <br />A. Matter of A-98-2; Amendment to the San Leandro Zoning Code and the San <br />Leandro Municipal Code Regarding Adult-Oriented Businesses (provides for <br />the regulation and licensing of adult-oriented businesses in keeping <br />with recent court decisions; allows adult-oriented businesses to locate <br />in the IP Industrial Park Districts if they comply with licensing and <br />minimum-proximity requirements). <br />- An Ordinance Amending the San Leandro Zoning Code, Adding Article 16- <br />4-1638, Relating to the Regulations of Adult-Oriented Businesses. <br />- Pass to Print No Action <br />
