<br />Minutes - City of San Leandro City Council and Page - 12 - <br />San Leandro Redevelopment Agency Meeting - April 20, 1998 <br />D. Minute Order No. 98-26, Matter of Discussion of Proposition 226. <br />(1102) <br />The City Council continued the matter of discussion of Proposition 226 <br />to the May 4, 1998, City Council Meeting. <br />M/S/C 61aze and Loeffler. Ayes: 7; Noes: 0 <br />E. Resolution No. 98-45, Resolution Approving the Form of Memorandum of <br />Understanding Between the City of San Leandro, City of Oakland, Port of <br />Oakland, and Alameda County Transportation Authority for the Airport <br />Gateway Design Project (establishes a joint design process to create a <br />design theme for the Airport Gateway area). (1215/1270) <br />M/S/C Lothrop and Loeffler. Ayes: 7; Noes: 0 <br />F. Report on Closed Session Actions Taken. <br />The City Attorney reported there was no action taken. <br />7. OPEN FORUM <br />Open Forum is limited to 3 minutes maximum per speaker, 15 minutes total. <br />A. Carey Walker, 471 Santa Monica, addressed the Council regarding MTBE <br />being taken out of gasoline in other parts of the country. Me added <br />that, on his travels, he could not smell any exhaust, and Alameda County <br />should take the MTBE out of their gasoline, also. <br />B. Larry Norry, 2532 Williams Street, addressed the Council regarding <br />problems in receiving mail from City Hall in a timely fashion. He noted <br />that his mail is going to San Ramon and then back to him. <br />The Mayor, in response, noted that the City Manager will look into the <br />issue and revisit options available to the City regarding handling of <br />the mail. <br />C. Laverne Anderson, 1495 - 159th Avenue, addressed the Council, noting <br />private citizens need to start taking action on their own. He <br />referenced a bus that had been abandoned in front of his house for a <br />long time and he had called in the matter. He noted that BART responded <br />to the call and the matter was resolved. He also noted that people need <br />to report speeders, as well. <br />
