Roll Call <br />PRESENT: Council Members Galvan, Glaze, Loeffler, Lothrop, Polvorosa, <br />Young; Mayor Corbett <br />ABSENT: None <br />2. PRESENTATIONS <br />A. Proclamation Declaring April 19-25, 1998, National Volunteer Week. <br />Mary Altomare, Volunteer of the Year, accepted the Proclamation for <br />National Volunteer Week. <br />B. Recognition of the San Leandro Downtown Business Association's Receipt <br />of the California Downtown Business Association's Special Events Award <br />for "Sausage and Suds '97." <br />Larry Allphin and members of the Downtown Business Association shared <br />with the Council their gratitude in having received the California <br />Downtown Business Association's Special Events Award for "Sausage and <br />Suds '97." <br />3. PUBLIC HEARINGS <br />A. Matter of -98- Amendment to the San Leandro Zoning Code and the San <br />Leandro Municipal Code Regarding Adult-Oriented Businesses (provides for <br />the regulation and licensing of adult-oriented businesses in keeping <br />with recent court decisions; allows adult-oriented businesses to locate <br />in the IP Industrial Park Districts if they comply with licensing and <br />minimum-proximity requirements). Continued from the April 6, 1998, City <br />Council Meeting at the Request of Staff. <br />- An Ordinance Amending the San Leandro Zoning Code, Adding Article 16- <br />4-1683, Relating to the Regulations of Adult-Oriented Businesses. <br />- Pass to Print <br />- An Ordinance Amending the San Leandro Municipal Code, Adding Title 4, <br />Chapter 24, Relating to the Regulations of Adult-Oriented Businesses. <br />- Pass to Print <br />This being the time and place for the Public Hearing on the above <br />matter, the City Manager gave a brief overview of the proposed Adult- <br />Oriented Business Ordinance. <br />
