CONSENT CALENDAR <br />Consent Calendar items are typically routine in nature and are considered <br />for approval by the City Council with one single action. The City Council <br />may remove items from the Consent Calendar for purposes of discussion. <br />Items listed on the Consent Calendar are deemed to have been read by title. <br />Item 5.D was removed from the Consent Calendar to New Business. The <br />remaining items on the Consent Calendar were approved as follows: <br />M/S/C Loeffler and Polvorosa. Ayes: 7; Noes: 0 <br />A. Minutes of the Meeting of April 6, 1998. Approved as submitted. <br />B. Resolution No. 98-40, Resolution Approving Contractual Services <br />Agreement with DKS Associates Relating to Design and Implementation of <br />an Advanced Traffic Signal System, Phase 2 (provides for the second and <br />final phase of the City's advanced signal system to connect the <br />remaining traffic signals to the centralized computer system. Cost: <br />$197,862.00 (2323) <br />C. Resolution No. 98-41, Resolution of Award of Contract to Amana <br />Engineering and Construction, Inc., for Water Pollution Control Plant <br />Seismic Retrofit Program, Project No. 98-593-52-141 (recommends award to <br />the low bidder for bid amount of $194,900.00). Resolution Designating Restricted Parking, Freight Loading Zones, Title <br />VI, Chapter 1 of the San Leandro Municipal Code, East 14th Street <br />(establishes a freight loading zone on East 14th Street adjacent to City <br />Hall to facilitate deliveries). Removed from the Consent Calendar to <br />New Business. <br />E. Resolution No. 98-42, Resolution Designating Placement of Stop Signs, <br />Intersections, Title VI, Chapter 1 of the San Leandro Municipal Code, <br />Virginia Street and Douglas Drive (provides for installation of a stop <br />sign on the eastbound Virginia Street approach to Douglas Drive). <br />(1022) <br />F. Resolution No. 98-43, Resolution Designating Restricted Parking, <br />Handicapped Parking, Title VI, Chapter 1 of the San Leandro Municipal <br />Code, Thornton Street (provides for establishing a residential, handicap <br />parking space adjacent to 945 Thornton Street). Resolution No. 98-44, Resolution Deleting Placement of Stop Signs, <br />Intersection, Title VI, Chapter 1 of the San Leandro Municipal Code, <br />Williams Street and Hays Street (provides for conversion of the <br />intersection of Williams Street from an all-way stop to a 2-way stop on <br />Hays Street; the Williams Street stop signs are to be removed). <br />(1022) <br />
