OPEN FORUM <br />Open Forum is limited to 3 minutes maximum per speaker, 15 minutes total. <br />No Speakers <br />8. CITY COUNCIL REPORTS AND COMMENTS <br />A. Reports on Intergovernmental Agencies <br />1. Council Member Young commented on a recent Alameda County Congestion <br />Management Authority Meeting whereby discussion took place regarding <br />the possibility of bike lanes on the Bay Bridge during the retrofit <br />process. She noted there should be an update to the Council, as the <br />issue will be coming up again in June. <br />B. Reports on City Council Committees <br />None <br />C. City Council Comments <br />1. Council Member Glaze asked that the Council consider Coca Cola as the <br />"official soft drink" of choice in San Leandro since they have been <br />supportive of and have stayed in the San Leandro community while <br />their competitor has left. They have been here over 30 years. <br />2. Council Member Polvorosa reported on the recent Reception for George <br />Lil at the Alta Mira Club. <br />Council Member Polvorosa also commented on the upcoming Cherry <br />Festival scheduled for June 6th. <br />Council Member Polvorosa concluded by reminding people to vote <br />tomorrow, June 2, 1998. <br />3. Council Member Young reported on the Reception for George Lil. <br />Council Member Young also commented on the recent festivities at San <br />Leandro Hospital, noting they are one of the best corporate citizens <br />in San Leandro. <br />4. Mayor Corbett reminded everyone to attend the Cherry Festival on June <br />6 and 7, noting the Parade begins Saturday morning at 10:00 a.m. <br />
