Ayes: 7; Noes: 0 <br />Council Member Loe$ler commented briefly on the Project Literacy and <br />Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Parks and Playgrounds Projects. <br />The following Resolution was then introduced: <br />- Resolution No. 98-111, Resolution Accepting the Community Development <br />Block Grant (CDBG) Program Annual Performance Report (APR)/Grantee <br />Performance Report (GPR) for Fiscal Year 1997-98 and Authorizing <br />Submission Thereof by the City Manager (reports on the 1997-98 CDBG <br />activities and provides for acceptance of the CDBG Annual Performance <br />Report and submission to HUD). Vacant Property Located at the <br />Southeast Corner of Washington Avenue and San Leandro Boulevard; Assessor's <br />Parcel Number 77D-1410-4-4; Ted Polyzos, Applicant; Buon Tempo Club, <br />Property Owner; RM 1800 Residential, Multi-Family District. <br />-- Motion Certifying the Negative Declaration for A-98-6 as Complete and In <br />Compliance with CEQA Requirements and Approving the Reclassification of <br />A-98-6 from RM 1800 Residential, Multi-Family District to IL Industrial <br />Limited District. <br />-- An Ordinance Reclassifying Certain Property Herein Described as to Zoning <br />District and Amending the Zoning Map (A-98-6), Southeast Corner of <br />Washington Avenue and San Leandro Boulevard; Assessor's Parcel Number <br />77D-1410-4-4. <br />-- Pass to Print <br />This being the time and place for the Public Hearing on the above matter, Norm <br />Weisbrod, Associate City Planner, gave an overview of the requested <br />reclassification. It was noted that, due to the limited access for emergency <br />services, the property is not conducive to residential. It was further noted that the <br />proposal fora 6,000-square-foot industrial building could be divided into as many <br />as four, individual, tenant spaces, with an average area of 1,500 square feet. The <br />Planning Commission recommended the City Council rezone the property to IL <br />(PD) Industrial, Limited, Planned-Development-Combining District. <br />
