Minutes -City of San Leandro City Council and Page 9 <br />San Leandro Redevelopment Agency Joint Meeting - Octoher 5, 1998 <br />G. Ordinance No. 98-013, An Ordinance Amending Title III, Chapter 4, Section 3- <br />4-110, of the San Leandro Municipal Code Regarding Disaster Regulations <br />(provides for the inclusion of an additional City Council Member, thereby <br />increasing the City Council representation to three [3]: Mayor, Vice Mayor, and <br />one [1] City Council Member). (2648/2660) <br />-- Passed to Print <br />M/S/C Lothrop and Glaze. Ayes: 7; Noes: 0 <br />H. Report on Closed Session Actions Taken. <br />The Mayor reported that no actions were taken. <br />7. OPEN FORUM <br />Open Forum is limited to 3 minutes maximum per speaker, 15 minutes total. <br />A. Carey Walker, 471 Santa Monica, addressed the Council regarding concerns <br />with East 14~` Street. He also commented on the Freeze-Four-and-Fifteen- <br />Percent-Program information he provided to the Council and hopes the railroad <br />tracks are fixed on Merced near Lucky's. <br />8. CITY COUNCII. REPORTS AND COMMENTS <br />A. Reports on Intergovernmental Agencies <br />None <br />B. Reports on City Council Committees <br />None <br />C. City Council Comments <br />1. Vice Mayor Galvan commended staff, specifically Dan Paiva and Luke Sims, <br />as well as the Downtown Business Association, for their participation and <br />organization of the successful Sausage and Suds Festival held this last <br />weekend. He also recognized Larry Allphin, Ken Pon, Tammy Smiley, Eric <br />Swallow, Ken Lindstrom, and lot Mangat for their help in organizing the <br />event. He noted his only disappointment was that Lenny Williams was not the <br />"headline" of the event - he knows Lenny was not pleased about that, as well. <br />He asked that the Council consider recognizing Mr. Williams for his efforts at <br />a future Council Meeting. Council agreed. <br />
