(1009) <br />The City Council continued the matter of PD-98-1; Amendment to <br />Planned Unit Development; to Convert a Service Station's Work Bays to <br />a Convenience Store; 15018 Hesperian Boulevard; to the November 16, <br />1998, City Council Meeting. <br />M/S/C Loeffler and Lothrop. Ayes: 6; Noes: 0; Absent: Nardine <br />4. PUBLIC CONIlVIENTS <br />Public Comments are limited to 5 minutes per person; however, at City Council's <br />discretion, based upon the number of speakers, the time allotted may be less. The <br />public is invited to make any comments related to Agenda items, or other items of <br />public interest, at this time. <br />A. Carey Walker, 471 Santa Monica, addressed the Council regarding City taxes, <br />including the water run-off tax, utility taxes, telephone and CATV taxes. He also <br />commented on the issue of a pending sports complex for San Leandro, downtown <br />improvements, and the recent Sausage & Suds Festival. He concluded by <br />commenting on East 14~' Street and questioned when the Council is going to <br />address that eyesore. <br />
