She further noted she
is unhappy with Infolane, the City's current contractor for our web page, and
added that she would like the Rules Committee to review that issue. She also
noted the Council may have some leverage with TCI regarding Channe122.
Mayor Young concluded by noting this is the last meeting for Artie Fields, who
will be leaving for the City of West Covina as Assistant City Manager. She
thanked him for his service to the City of San Leandro and wished him well in
his new position.
The City Attorney noted TCI has just informed the City that the amount of
franchise fees which the City of San Leandro can recover total approximately
$50,000. There are several recovery options which TCI may explore, and they
welcome the opportunity to discuss these options with the Council in more
detail, should the City choose to collect the $50,000. It was noted this issue
should be referred to the Rules and Communications Committee for review
and recommendations.
