Minutes -City of San Leandro City Council and Page 3 <br />San Leandro Redevelopment Agency Joint Meeting -December 21,1998 <br />5. CITY COUNCIL REPORTS AND COMMENTS <br />A. Reports on Intergovernmental Agencies <br />Mayor Young reported on pricing systems for transportation which is being <br />discussed with the Congestion Management Authority. She will report further on <br />that issue at the next Council Meeting. <br />Vice Mayor Galvan commented on EBDA and the opening up of the 7PA. He <br />noted that whole concept has come to a halt because one member agency (Castro <br />Valley) has stated that they aze not interested in amending the JPA. The way the <br />JPA is crafted, there needs to be unanimity for the JPA to be altered. <br />Vice Mayor Galvan gave a brief overview of their recent trip to the National <br />League of Cities Conference. <br />B. Reports on City Council Committees <br />Disaster Council -Council Member Loeffier reported on the meeting <br />which took place December 17, 1998. <br />2. Facilities Committee -Council Member Glaze reported on the meeting which <br />took place December 8, 1998. <br />Finance Committee, Fiscal Yeaz 1999-2000 -Mayor Young reported on the <br />meeting which took place December 10, 1998. <br />C. City Council Comments <br />1. Council Member Galvan wished everyone a happy holiday and thanked staff <br />for all their hard work over the last year. <br />2. Council Member Grant commented on how during this season she is reminded <br />of the various cultural celebrations that aze coming together at one time. She <br />wished everyone Happy Holidays. <br />Council Member Nardine remarked about the recent survey in the community <br />through the city newsletter regarding the General Plan and clarified that it <br />would be o.k. for residents to photocopy the survey and have more than one <br />person per household respond. She remazked that the form should include a <br />statement at the bottom indicating that it can be photocopied. <br />4. Council Member Glaze wished everyone a Happy Holiday Season and thanked <br />staff for a very tough year and making an honest effort to make this a better <br />place to live, work and play. <br />
