Vice Mayor Stephens commented on the attractiveness, and labor and water savings of Bay Friendly landscaping. • Ordinance No. 2009-007, an Ordinance Amending the San Leandro Municipal Code By Adding a New Chapter 3-22 Relating to Bay Friendly Landscaping for City Projects (establishes minimum requirements for all City landscapes projects for renovation and new construction valued at or over $100,000 and comprising an area of 2,500 square feet or more). Ayes: 7; Noes: 0 Mayor Santos congratulated Councilmember Starosciak on her election as vice mayor, and stated that he looked forward to working with her in the upcoming year. Mayor Santos presented Vice Mayor Stephens with a plaque for his service as vice mayor, and expressed his appreciation for his assistance in representing the City at many events over the past year.
