CITY OF SAN LEANDRO <br />MEMORANDUM <br />Date: May 27, 2009 <br />To: City Council <br />From: Stephen L. Hollister~~City Manager <br />Subject: Resolution in Support of Spending of Federal Economic Renewal Grants to <br />the City of San Leandro on American Produced Products <br />The United Steel Workers Union requested that the Mayor present to the City Council the <br />attached resolution committing the City of San Leandro to purchase and use products and <br />services produced in the United States when undertaking projects funded by the Federal <br />Economic Renewal Program and Grants. The resolution will encourage, but not require, <br />the use of American products and services to help stimulate jobs and economic recovery. <br />Recommendation <br />Staff recommends that the City Council adopt the above resolution. <br />Attachment <br />
