IN THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO <br />RESOLUTION N0.2009 - <br />RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO <br />AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO ACOST-SHARING <br />AGREEMENT WITH STOPWASTE.ORG FOR THE PROPOSED GREEN <br />PACKAGES PROJECT <br />WHEREAS, the Stopwaste.Org Green Packages project is a county-wide <br />program to stimulate demand and strengthen the infrastructure for retrofits of existing <br />residential and small commercial buildings; and <br />WHEREAS, the Green Packages program is intended to maximize the long-term <br />benefits from the federal stimulus distributions to Alameda County jurisdictions; and <br />WHEREAS, participating jurisdictions will contribute a portion of their Energy <br />Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant (stimulus funding) to create Green Packages; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, the original cost-sharing plan, presented at the April 8, 2009 <br />Mayor's Conference, proposed a $130,000 contribution from Stopwaste.Org with San <br />Leandro contributing approximately four percent of their Energy Efficiency and <br />Conservation Block Grant allocation ($26,700); and <br />WHEREAS, San Leandro's fair-share contribution would be partially funded by <br />the Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant ($13,350) and partially funded by <br />Measure D funding ($13,350). <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of <br />San Leandro hereby authorizes the City Manager to enter into acost-sharing agreement <br />with Stopwaste.Org for the proposed Green Packages project, subject to obtaining the <br />Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant. <br />
