IN THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO RESOLUTION N0.2009-093 (3081) RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO ACOST-SHARING AGREEMENT WITH STOPWASTE.ORG FOR THE PROPOSED GREEN PACKAGES PROJECT WHEREAS, the Stopwaste.Org Green Packages project is a county-wide program to stimulate demand and strengthen the infrastructure for retrofits of existing residential and small commercial buildings; and WHEREAS, the Green Packages program is intended to maximize the long-term benefits from the federal stimulus distributions to Alameda County jurisdictions; and WHEREAS, participating jurisdictions will contribute a portion of their Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant (stimulus funding) to create Green Packages; and WHEREAS, the original cost-sharing plan, presented at the April 8, 2009 Mayor's Conference, proposed a $130,000 contribution from Stopwaste.Org with San Leandro contributing approximately four percent of their Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant allocation ($26,700); and WHEREAS, San Leandro's fair-share contribution would be partially funded by the Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant ($13,350) and partially funded by Measure D funding ($13,350). NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of San Leandro hereby authorizes the City Manager to enter into acost-sharing agreement with Stopwaste.Org for the proposed Green Packages project, subject to obtaining the Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant.
