Rocha, Executive Director <br />Phone: 510-581-9380 (ext. 17) <br />Project Name: Landlord Tenant Counseling Services <br />PROJECT GOALS AND OBJECTIVES <br />Provide Landlord/Tenant Counseling Services to residents of San Leandro, which includes: <br />- Responding to inquiries and complaints by tenants or landlords <br />- Providing information <br />- Explaining their rights and responsibilities <br />- Providing dispute resolution services <br />- Outreach and education/training to landlords, property managers, and tenants <br />MAJOR ACTIVITIES and PERFORMANCE MEASURES <br />SUBRECIPIENT SHALL, FOR THE TERM OF THE CONTRACT: <br />1. Serve all tenants and landlords inquiring about rental housing rights and responsibilities - <br />approximately 296 responses for information and referral services. <br />2. Respond to inquiries within one business day. <br />3. Offer conciliation and/or mediation of all housing dispute cases except for deposits -Approximately 13 <br />cases will be mediated. <br />4. Provide approximately 14 referrals to attorneys and small claims court, if the client wishes to pursue the <br />case. <br />5. Prevent evictions -Approximately 5 cases will result in eviction prevention. <br />6. Provide approximately 42 appropriate referrals to outside agencies. <br />7. Provide outreach which shall comprise of: <br />a. Distribution of 1,000 pieces of remedial material within San Leandro. <br />b. Quarterly public service announcements. <br />c. One appearance on local television or radio station. <br />d. One owner/property manager training. <br />-14- <br />CDBG Agreement with <br />ECHO Landlord Tenant Counseling Services FY09-10 <br />
