measurements to confirm assumptions. Consultant will compare flow data with wet weather flow data
contained in the 1993 Sanitary Sewer System Capability Study and Master Plan to estimate infiltration.
Task 1.4 -Task Review Meeting. This task includes one (1) meeting to review the task deliverables after
City review is complete.
Task 1 Meefings:
i. Meet to review comments on Draft submittals.
Task 1 Deliverables:
i. Draft Report describing assumptions made and methods used to analyze the sanitary system, to
include the calculations made to determine existing capacity, existing demand, and future demand of
the sanitary sewer system and a map of the system with deficiencies noted (both existing and
predicted)
ii. An electronic, editable copy of the hydraulic model of the sanitary system, either in HYDRA or
WMHsoft format. A software license for the City is not included in this scope.
iii. Revised Final report addressing any comments provided on Draft report
iv. Meeting minutes
Task 2 -Storm Drain System Analysis:
The hydraulic capacity of the existing storm drain surface collection system within the TOD district will be
analyzed under this task. This includes the review of existing information, field investigation of existing storm
drain collection features and a brief summary of the features.
Task 2.1-Background Review. Consultant will review the City storm drain base map, and Geographic
Information Systems (GIS) contour map, and other pertinent information, to define storm sewer sub-basins
within the TOD district area. Consultant will review existing documentation of the pertinent existing
improvements within storm sewer sub-basins.
Task 2.2 -Field Investigation. Consultant will conduct a field survey during a storm event to document
existing deficiencies in the curb and gutter collection system as well as inlet deficiencies, and to confirm the
accuracy of the existing documentation with respect to location and number of inlets and manholes. If no
storm event is forecasted within the project scheduled timeline for this task the City will provide water from
City facilities to temporarily flood the area during low traffic times. For the purposes of this study it is
assumed that the underground storm drain system is in serviceable condition and is adequate to carry all
existing and projected flows.
Consultant will develop a GIS based storm drain map of the TOD district and record locations, depths, and
lengths of ponding areas or poor flow within the district. Consultant will tabulate the deficiencies and
characterize each location with the depth of water, a photograph, and impact to pedestrians.
Task 2.3 -Task Review Meeting. This task includes one (1) meeting to review the task deliverables after
City review is complete.
Task 2 Meefings:
i. Meet to review comments on Draft submittals.
Consulting Services Agreement between 150-83-073
City of San Leandro and Carollo Engineers--Exhibit A Page 16
