IN THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO RESOLUTION N0.2009-104 (2012/2096) RESOLUTION APPROVING COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT (CDBG) CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROJECT (CIP) LOAN AGREEMENT FOR FY 2009-2010 BETWEEN THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO AND DAMS STREET FAMILY RESOURCE CENTER FOR $500,000 TO ASSIST DAMS STREET FAMILY RESOURCE CENTER WITH THE ACQUISITION OF ITS CURRENT FACILITY AT 3081 TEAGARDEN STREET AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE THE NECESSARY DOCUMENTS RECITALS WHEREAS, the City is the recipient of Community Development Block Grant ("CDBG") funds; and WHEREAS, Davis Street Family Resource Center, anon-profit organization, desires to acquire its current facility located at 3081 Teagarden Street; and WHEREAS, City desires to provide CDBG loans to qualified local non-profit organizations, such as Davis Street Family Resource Center, in order to assist such organizations with capital improvements or facility acquisition; and WHEREAS, the CDBGnnn-profit capital improvement project (CIP) loan agreement between the City of San Leandro and Davis Street Family Resource Center, a copy of which is attached, were presented to this Council; and WHEREAS, the City Council is familiar with the contents thereof; and WHEREAS, the City Manager has recommended the approval of said agreement. NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of San Leandro does RESOLVE as follows: That the City shall loan an amount not to exceed $500,000.00 to Davis Street Family Resource Center to assist in the acquisition of its current facility located at 3081 Teagarden Street in the City of San Leandro and the City Manager is hereby authorized to execute all documents necessary to make this CDBG CIP loan, subject to approval as to form by the City Attorney.
