The <br />site is identified as "Cornerstone at San Leandro Crossings" or the BUILD, LLC Project, which <br />encompasses two separate parcels identified as "Sites 1 and 2" Site I is located at the northeast <br />corner of San Leandro Boulevard and West Juana Avenue (APN #075-0039-007-05) and Site 2 is <br />a portion of 1333 Martinez Street, located near the intersection of Parrott Street and San Leandro <br />Boulevard (Ptn. of APN # 075-0047-007-00 and 075-0047-002-00). <br />Project sponsor's: M Gary Wong, President, Westlake Development Partners, LLC <br />Name and address: 520 El Camino Real, 9`h Floor, San Mateo, CA 94402-1722 <br />General Plan: Site 1: RH Residential High Density Site 2: OF Office <br />Zoning: Site 1: DA -4(S) Site 2: DA -5(S) / PS (S) <br />Description of site and <br />proposed project: <br />Cornerstone at San Leandro Crossings is a transit -oriented development (TOD) project located in <br />an area adjacent to the Downtown San Leandro BART Station. This project will be one of the <br />first development efforts to implement the City' s Transit Oriented Development (TOD) <br />Strategy previously analyzed in the TOD Strategy FIR that was certified in September of 2007. <br />The project encompasses three separate parcels, identified herein as " Site 1" and " Site 2". Site <br />I is a relatively flat site that has been previously graded and disturbed and is presently used as <br />commuter parking for the San Leandro BART Station (APN#075-0039-007-05). This site is <br />proposed for 200 luxury, multi -family condominiums consisting of four stories of studios, one - <br />and two-bedroom units over a ground floor and basement containing a 290 -space parking garage <br />(Ptn. of APN #075-0047-007-00 and 075-0047-002-00). Site 2 is proposed for a 329 to 345 - <br />stall BART parking structure that will replace all of the BART parking (329 spaces) currently <br />provided on Site 1, plus up to 16 additional stalls. The parking garage will cover a part of <br />Martinez Street which will be vacated. Land will then be set aside for the addition of more <br />BART parking to accommodate future development in later phases pursuant to Vesting Tentative <br />Map 8010.
