(2167/2781) <br />The City Council continued the matter of ZA-96-1; Appeal by Paul Martin <br />of Administrative Decision of the Development Services Director. Denvina <br />the Use of the Former Bal Theater (14808 East 14th Street) by the <br />Universal Church of the Kingdom of God; Appellant: Paul Martin, et al, <br />Property Owner, to a date uncertain. <br />M/S/C Young and Polvorosa. Ayes: 6; Noes: 0; Excused: Lothrop <br />B. Report on Closed Session Actions Taken. <br />The City Attorney reported no final action was taken. <br />7. OPEN FORUM <br />Open Forum is limited to 3 minutes maximum per speaker, 15 minutes total. <br />A. Lou Filipovich, 15376 Laverne Drive, said the use of the Bal Theater <br />should go to a vote. He commented on the Open Forum format. <br />8. CITY COUNCIL REPORTS AND COMMENTS <br />A. Reports on Intergovernmental Agencies <br />None <br />B. Reports on City Council Subcommittees <br />Council Member Young reported on the Policy Subcommittee. She said they <br />had discussed the new City Council meeting schedule and have conducted <br />a preliminary survey. It has been determined that the new schedule <br />format should be revisited by the Policy Subcommittee. She said staff <br />may be directed to create a small survey card for the audience to obtain <br />opinions about the format. <br />Mayor Corbett said it was a good idea to include the audience. She <br />suggested including the Commissioners as well and to review the previous <br />staff research from last year. <br />Council Member Loeffler agreed to revisit the issue; he suggested <br />surveying three meetings. He said the meeting schedule affects staff's <br />ability to respond. <br />
