Lou Filipovich, 15376 Laverne Drive, commented on seismic issues and the <br />City's program. He asked if the issue was permissive or mandatory. He <br />asked if any of the contractors guarantee their work. <br />6. Laverne Anderson, 149th Avenue, congratulated John Jermanis. He asked <br />if clocks would be installed at the Library. He commented on the Year <br />of the Youth activities and said nothing is being done. Mr. David <br />Bohne, Community Services Director, described the changes to the <br />skateboard park. <br />7. Dana Johnson, 343 Farrelly Drive, congratulated John Jermanis. He <br />commented on Prop. 218, the Civic Center and fire station retrofit <br />projects, and the City Council Committees. <br />5. CONSENT CALENDAR <br />Consent Calendar items are typically routine in nature and are considered <br />for approval by the City Council with one single action. The City Council <br />may remove items from the Consent Calendar for purposes of discussion. <br />Items listed on the Consent Calendar are deemed to have been read by title. <br />The Consent Calendar was approved as follows: <br />M/S/C Loeffler and Young. Resolution No. 97-15, Resolution Approving the Memorandum of Agreement <br />and Work Order with the United States Army Corps of Engineers ("USACOE") <br />for the Fiscal Year 1997 Marina and Channel Dredging Project in the City <br />of San Leandro (allows the Corps of Engineers to accomplish the 1997 <br />dredging work for the City and provides for the City to fund the local <br />share of the project, including the Marina dredging and the cost <br />differential, to dispose of the dredged material at the Alcatraz <br />disposal site). Resolution No. 97-3, Resolution of the San Leandro Redevelopment Agency <br />Approving Recommendations of the Affordable Housing Advisory Committee <br />Regarding a Five-Year Program for Affordable Housing and Directing Staff <br />to Design and Implement the Apartment Rehabilitation Program Recommended <br />by the Committee (accepts a Five-Year Program for Affordable Housing and <br />authorizes an Apartment Rehabilitation Program to upgrade the interior <br />and exterior of existing apartment complexes). <br />M/S/C Glaze and Lothrop.
