CALL TO ORDER A. Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag B. Roll Call Page - 2 - PRESENT: Members Galvan, Glaze, Loeffler, Lothrop, Polvorosa, Young; Mayor Corbett ABSENT: None 2. PRESENTATIONS A. Resolution of Commendation Recognizing the Contributions of Bill Lucchesi, Human Resources Commission, District 5. Mayor Corbett presented the Resolution recognizing Mr. Lucchesi's contributions to the community. Mr. Lucchesi thanked Council Member Loeffler and others for giving him the opportunity to serve the community. Council Member Loeffler commented on Mr. Lucchesi's continued dedication to child care issues and service to the citizens of San Leandro. 6. Presentation of California Highway Department "Certificate of Achievement for Consecutive Safety Compliance Ratings" to Bob Rockett, Director, and Larry Delaney, Senior Equipment Supervisor, of the Public Works Services Department. The Mayor made brief comments and presented the Certificate to Bob Rockett, Director of Public Works Services, who acknowledged receipt of the Certificate and presented it to Larry Delaney, Senior Equipment Supervisor. Mr. Rockett continued with comments on the Public Works Services Department's continued commitment to safe, cost-effective equipment. C. Proclamation Declaring May 6, 1997, Tom Hirtle Day. The Mayor acknowledged and commended Mr. Hirtle on his contributions to the community of San Leandro while presenting him with the Proclamation. Mr. David Brown, representing Supervisor Chan's office, also presented Mr. Hirtle with a Proclamation. Mr. Hirtle briefly responded to the presentations with remarks regarding how he has enjoyed the community of San Leandro.
