Council Member Glaze added that he has known John for a number of <br />years; and, although he could be an adversary, at the same time he <br />would be there to help. He commented on Mr. Justino's love of <br />baseball and his love~of Halcyon Park. He recognized him for his <br />many years of dedicated service to the community and noted that he <br />will be truly missed. <br />5. Council Member Lothrop commented <br />Leandro Times which raised some <br />referenced two reports that have <br />issue i s going to come before th <br />and/or discussion. <br />on a recent article in the San <br />concerns regarding Walmart. She <br />been done and questioned if this <br />e Council for any type of review <br />John Jermanis, City Manager, responded that he will get information <br />to the Council regarding the likelihood of this coming to the <br />Council. He will also attempt to clarify the issues that exist <br />between the two reports and inform the Council of any policy issues <br />that relate to the City. <br />Council Member Lothrop continued by acknowledging the loss of Mr. <br />Justino and related a story about him at Halcyon Park. She commented <br />that he was a wonderful, sweet gentleman, and he will truly be <br />missed. <br />6. Vice Mayor Loeffler acknowledged the Council Members who participated <br />at the Annual Trivia Bee, thanking their coach. He also commented on <br />a recent MacArthur Neighborhood meeting whereby Police Officers were <br />honored; reminded Council of the upcoming Cherry Festival on June 7 <br />and 8, 1997; and concluded by stating Mr. John Justino will be truly <br />missed and that the Council would be adjourning in his memory. <br />Vice Mayor Loeffler requested that the flag at City Hall be lowered <br />in Mr. Justino's honor as a sign of respect. <br />9.
