s Minutes - City of San Leandro City Council Meeting August 4, 1997 Page - 9 - 5. Council Member Lothrop concluded her comments by reporting on traffic concerns within District 6. She noted that several citizens had voiced concerns regarding possible increased traffic from proposed projects within District 6. She would like to see a committee appointed to address those traffic impacts, which should include but not be limited to a secondary access to Davis West, alternative access to the Marina and Transfer Station, and impacts on pedestrians. She feels the City needs to form a working group to address these issues. The balance of Council agreed with her concern and an interest in getting a staff analysis on the traffic issues in that area was expressed. There was consensus of the City Council to direct staff to report back to the Council with recommendations on the possible formation of a committee to address traffic impacts due to projects proposed within District 6. Council Member Lothrop also reported on a recent trip to Canada and her attendance at Logger Sports Event. She indicated it was well run and asked that information regarding the event be sent to City staff. 6. Mayor Corbett announced that tomorrow is National Night Out and encouraged community participation. 9. ADJOURN The City Council adjourned its meeting at 8:47 p.m. in Memory of Frank Polvorosa and Extended Condolences on Behalf of the Council to Julian Polvorosa and His Family.
