the currently stripped median, obliterate the lines, re-stripe it to keep the same number <br />of lanes, have a crossing guards -all these things can be part of an encroachment permit <br />to ensure that the traffic is able to function on the street and that pedestrians can get <br />through -schools, buses, those types of.....that's part of an encroachment permit. Now, <br />if you're looking at the standpoint of wanting dollars -the dollaz side - if you want more <br />money -cash or something -that would be a different way. <br />Council Member Glaze: When we talk about what the disruptions will be and like <br />that....you know, it's nice, after they've torn up the street to have it landscaped and like <br />that -but, during that period of time we're going to have business disruptions -we're <br />going to have noise and dust and dirt -the problem is that a lot of people do not live <br />close enough to Lewelling Boulevard to remember what it was like when that sewer went <br />in originally. And, if you grab some of those people that were there...I was there and <br />Julian was there....and remember what that was like - I don't care what circulation plan <br />anybody comes up with - is that when you start taking that particular street and run it <br />through Washington and Lewelling -get to that intersection and you tell me what <br />circulation plan that is on anybody's books that will truly work? We're going to be <br />tearing up a street that we talk about school kids crossing the street and they aze all <br />crossing Lewelling. We've got a major part of the kids that are going to be crossing <br />Lewelling at that point. We've got 42 % of the kids that go to Arroyo that aze gonna <br />have to cross that street again and through that construction project just to go to the High <br />School. We've got elementary schools -we've got playgrounds.
