Matter of A-97-9; Reclassification; Rezone from RM-1800 Residential <br />Multi-Family District to P Professional Office District; 532-536 Callan <br />Avenue; Vacant Parcel on the North Side of Callan Avenue Just Easterly <br />of Huff Avenue; Assessor's Parcel Number 77-469-9 and 10; Pratap and <br />Aruna Poddatoori; RM-1800 Residential Multi-Family District. <br />- Motion Certifying the Negative Declaration for A-97-9 as Complete and <br />in Compliance with CEQA Requirements and Approving the <br />Reclassification of A-97-9 from RM-1800 Residential Multi-Family <br />District to P Professional Office District. <br />- An Ordinance Reclassifying Certain Property Herein Described as to <br />Zoning District and Amending Zoning Map (A-97-9), 532-536 Callan <br />Avenue. <br />- Pass to Print <br />This being the time and place for the Public Hearing on the above <br />matter, Norm Weisbrod gave a brief staff report. <br />The Hearing was then opened to the public. <br />Lou Filipovich, 15376 Laverne Drive, addressed the Council, asking if <br />the recycling ordinance would apply to this project. Staff responded <br />that it would. Mr. Filipovich then continued to express his concern <br />that this would result in a change from "permissive" to "mandatory" <br />service and inquired as to how it would be policed and who would be <br />policing it. <br />The City Attorney gave a brief overview on how the recycling ordinance <br />is administered. <br />There being no further comments from the public, the Public Hearing was <br />closed. <br />M/S/C Loeffler and Galvan. Ayes: 7; Noes: 0 <br />The following Motion and Ordinance were then introduced: <br />- Minute Order No. 97-44, Motion Certifying the Negative Declaration <br />for A-97-9 as Complete and in Compliance with CEQA Requirements and <br />Approving the Reclassification of A-97-9 from RM-1800 Residential <br />Multi-Family District to P Professional Office District. (1099) <br />The City Council certified the Negative Declaration for A-97-9 as <br />complete and in compliance with CEQA requirements and approved the <br />reclassification of A-97-9 from RM-1800 Residential Multi-Family <br />District to P Professional Office District. <br />M/S/C Loeffler and Galvan. Ayes: 7; Noes: 0 <br />
