Cornelius; P Professional District.(1099/1009) <br />The City Council continued the matter of A-97-10; Reclassification <br />from P Professional District to P (PD) Professional Planned <br />Development Overlay District; and PD-97-8; Planned Development; to <br />construct a 3,900-square-foot office building at 609 Callan Avenue, <br />to the November 17, 1997, City Council Meeting. <br />M/S/C Polvorosa and Glaze. Ayes: 6; Noes: 0; Absent: Young <br />4. PUBLIC COMMENTS <br />Public Comments are limited to 5 minutes per person. The public is invited <br />to make any comments related to Agenda items, or other items of public <br />interest, at this time. <br />A. Carey Walker, 471 Santa Monica, addressed the Council, regarding a <br />newspaper article from The Daily Review, dated April 8, 1992, regarding <br />Airport noise; and he expressed concerns regarding the lack of response <br />to the request for a wall around Mission Bay. He also commented on the <br />noise from the railroad and clogged storm drains. <br />The Mayor indicated that the City Manager will take a look at the drains <br />issue. <br />Mr. Walker concluded by saying he will not be coming back to the Council <br />complaining about speeding, red-light runners, stop signs, or railroad- <br />crossing conditions any longer because no one pays attention to his <br />concerns. <br />
