It is recognized and agreed that the work day for Police <br />Services Aides will be eight (8) hours and fifteen (15) <br />minutes, which will include a fifteen (15) minute period <br />for briefing and roll call. During this work day, a meal <br />break may be taken only if the work situation so permits. <br />The Police Services Aide who regularly performs <br />administrative secretary duties, the Police Services Aide <br />who perform clerical duties in the Investigation <br />Division, the~Police Services Aide who performs duties in <br />the Warrants Section, and the Police Services Aide who <br />performs D.A. Court Liaison and witness duties shall <br />receive a total of twenty-five dollars ($25.00) per month <br />pay differential when so assigned. <br />For the period of this Memorandum of Understanding, up to <br />fourteen (14) Police Services Aide positions with a <br />communications assignment shall receive a ten percent <br />(10%) pay differential. For the period of time that <br />Police Service Aide is acting as a trainer in either a <br />records or communications assignment, he/she shall <br />receive an additional twenty-five dollars ($25.00) a day <br />pay differential. <br />For the period of time that Police Service Aide, Public <br />Safety Dispatcher and Jailer are assigned to work in a <br />training capacity, he/she shall receive an additional <br />twenty-five dollars ($25.00) a day pay differential. <br />Full-time Administrative <br />and Police Services Aides <br />uniforms shall be allowed <br />hundred dollars ($500.00) <br />separate check. <br />Specialist-Police, Dispatcher, <br />who are required to maintain <br />a uniform allowance of five <br />Payment shall be made by <br />Section 21. Layoff <br />The parties are in accord that the following provisions <br />supplement and clarify language included in the current <br />Memorandum of Understanding between the City Of San <br />Leandro and the IFPTE, Local 21 and the Personnel Rules <br />covering layoffs. It is understood that only the <br />employee groups defined below possess the referenced <br />layoff rights. Prior to the layoff of any full-time or <br />permanent part-time employees, hourly part-time and/or <br />temporary employees within the same classification, will <br />be released. <br />23 <br />
