2.0 ENVIItONMENTAL CHECHI.IST
DISCUSSION
a,b,c) The Project is limited to construction and operation of recycled water pipeline, water recycling
plant, and a disinfection and filtration facility. The Project consists of construction and operation
of recycled water. treatment and distribution facilities, and would have a beneficial effect on water
supplies. Lmplementation of the Project would allow for Oyster Bay Regional Park, currently not
irrigated to be irrigated without using potable water. The new irrigation of Oyster Bay Regional
Park and changing to recycled water irrigation for Marina Bay and the par course would not
increase the amount of storm water drainage facilities. Therefore, the Project would not increase
the need for additional off-site storm water drainage facilities.
d) The Project does not require water entitlements; therefore, no impacts would occur.
e) The Project is limited to water treatment and distribution facilities, and would not generate
wastewater for treatment. Therefore, no adverse effects on the regional wastewater treatment
facilities are anticipated.
f) Solid waste generation would be limited to construction activities, and would not affect available
solid waste disposal capacity in the region. No long-term solid waste generation would be
associated with the Project.
g) The contractor would be required to comply with all pertinent regulations regarding the disposal
of solid waste generated by construction activities; therefore, no impacts would occur.
MITIGATION MEAS URES
None required or recommended.
San Leandro Recycled Water Project Z-49 FSA /203193
Lhak IS/MND
