The size of individual buffers can be adjusted
based on an evaluation of the site by a qualified biologist. The evaluation would be based
on ambient noise levels, the presence of topographical features that obstruct the line of site
from the construction activities to the nest, or observations of the nesting pair during
construction based on the level of ongoing disturbance (e.g., road trafflc) and the observed
sensitivity of the birds. Site evaluations and buffer adjustments would be done in
consultation with the local CDFG representative.
If preconstruction surveys indicate that nests are inactive or potential habitat is unoccupied
during the construction period, no further mitigation is required.
IMPLEMENTATION
PROCEDURE MONITORING AND
REPORTING ACTIONS MONITORING
RESPONSIBILITY MONITORING
SCHEDULE
1.
