San Leandro, California Statement of Work <br />3.0 Project Activities <br />This section describes each of the major activities included in the project plan; indicates the purpose of the activity <br />and the specific responsibilities of NWS and Customer as appropriate. <br />31 Project Management <br />Objective <br />To establish and maintain a framework for the execution of the project's communication, reporting, procedural and <br />contractual activities. It includes managing the projects resources, monitoring and adjusting the project schedule, <br />managing issues, reporting on project progress to the Customer Project Managcr, and performing other activities <br />necessary to ensure the successful completion of the project. <br />New World Responsibilities <br />New World Systems will assign a Project Managcr who will coordinate the activities of the implementation effort. <br />The Project Manager's responsibilities will include doaunenling, monitoring and managing the project in <br />accordance with the agreed to Implementation Plan. A senior level Operations Director will also be assigned to <br />oversee, assist and support the Project Manager where necessary. As part of this activity, New World will: <br />• Assign a Project Manager who will work with the Customer Project Manager to coordinate the activities of <br />the New World resources on the project team. These meetings may be in person or via conference call. <br />• Meet with the Customer Project Manager to discuss this SOW and any Change Control Procedure needed <br />(refer to Appendix A. Change Order Procedure). <br />• Review New World project work plans at the start of the contract. Work with the Customer Project Manager <br />to evaluate project progress on a regular basis to measure progress against established project work plans <br />and schedules. <br />• Attend status meetings with the Customer Project Managcr. These meetings may be in person or via <br />conference call. <br />• Monitor and track the progress of the Implementation responsibilities in this SOW. <br />• Administer or assist in the Change Order Procedure in coordination with the Customer Project Manager. <br />• Provide written status reports to the Customer Project Manager as required. <br />• Schedule and manage New World resources. <br />• Maintain an "]ssue Tracking Report'. <br />New World Deliverables <br />New Wodd will provide the following deliverables: <br />• Project status reports. <br />Customer Responsibilities <br />Customer will assign a Project Manager to be responsible for the day-to-day management of the project, and to <br />provide direction to all resources. The Project Manager will ensure that New World complies with their contractual <br />obligations, ensure that Customer provides adequate resources to the project, manage the overall project plan, and <br />report regularly to the San Leandro Police Department Management Team on project progress and issues. <br />Additional responsibilities include: <br />• Meet with the New World Project Manager on a regular basis to report project status. These meetings may be <br />in person or via conference call. <br />• Meet with the New World Project Manager to discuss this SOW and the Change Order Procedure needed <br />(refer to Appendix A. Change Order Procedure). <br />• Review the responsibilities of all parties. <br />• Work with the New World Project Manager to evaluate project progress for New World responsibilities <br />against established project work plans and schedules on a weekly basis. <br />
