Upon opening an inspection, the user is presented with the opening screen and the various
thumbnail images that make up the inspection events. Clicking on a thumbnail image cues up
the video to that point in the inspection and the corresponding data event. In addition, the user
can use any point in the inspection video by dragging a slide bar that corresponds to the line
segment length. This action will highlight the image that is closest to the selected event footage,
display its event data and continue playing the video from that point. These search methods
provide a fast and easy approach to viewing inspection data.
The viewer shall automatically keep track of all inspections that reside on the local computer. If
an inspection is opened from an outside source, the user can opt to have it saved to the local
drive. Viewer provides a means for the user to query the local drive for inspections based on
inspection date, sub-area, completeness and various other inspection measures
In addition to viewing inspection data, the Viewer shall provide a simple interface to edit,
captuxe and delete inspection events. As the full inspection video is played back through the
Viewer, the user can choose to add new events to the inspection. Likewise, if the user sees an
event that has been incorrectly labeled by the operator, he or she can edit or delete the entry.
All changes made to inspection data in the Viewer are added to an un-editable change log. The
change log supplies the user with information on any modification made to the inspection from
the time it was originally captured and stored.
The Viewer shall allow the user to create graphical and textual .pdf xeports of an inspection.
Users can also format and print specific images captured during the video inspection.
The Viewer shall have the ability to improve digital image quality. Image contrast and
brightness are controlled from within the program. In addition, images can be resized in order to
zoom in on specific defects or points of interest.
The Viewer shall be equipped with an integrated CD /DVD writing tool. If the user's computex
has either a CD writer or a DVD writer, the user will be able to create new CD / DVD's from an
easy to use interface. The interface provides sorting capabilities to make organizing groups of
inspections into logical blocks easy. Once the user has selected the desired inspections from the
list, a single button click will create the CD /DVD.
Sanitary Sewer Asset Management System 02/08/2005
Account No. 593-52-262(2 Page 26 of 32
