IN THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2005-046 (2972) <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING THE 2005-2009 FIVE YEAR CONSOLIDATED PLAN <br />AND 2005-2006 CONSOLIDATED ACTION PLAN AND AUTHORIZING THE <br />EXECUTION OF ALL RELATED DOCUMENTS BY THE CITY MANAGER AND <br />SUBMISSION OF THE PLANS TO THE U.S. DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING AND <br />URBAN DEVELOPMENT <br />Recitals <br />WHEREAS, through provisions of the Housing and Community Development <br />Act and the National Affordable Housing Act, the federal government has made block <br />grant funding available to local communities for housing and community development <br />activities; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of San Leandro adopted by Resolution No. 2000-58 on May <br />5, 2000, the 2000-2004 Consolidated Plan to implement the goals identified in the Acts; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, a Five Year Consolidated Plan has been prepared to update the <br />2000-2004 Plan and a Consolidated Action Plan has also been prepared reflecting the <br />activities that the City proposes to fund and implement during FY 2005-06 and copies of <br />which are attached hereto; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of San Leandro has held two public hearings, solicited <br />public comment for 30 days by publishing a summary of the Plans in the newspaper and <br />by providing the Plans at City Hall, in the public library, and on the City's web site; and <br />WHEREAS, all public comments received were considered in the contents of the <br />Plans; and <br />
