Joint Powers Agreement — City of Fremont and City of San Leandro <br />Aninrlal Shelter Services <br />Pq. 2 of 6 <br />4.. Fremont will charge and collect all fees for Animal Shelter Services provided to San <br />Leandro Animals in accordance with the City of Fremont Master Fee Schedule, as may <br />be amended from time to time. Such fees shall be uniform for all participating cities. <br />5. Redemption fee, boarding fee, and any license deposit fees that may be charged by <br />Fremont as- provided iri section 10. 1, collected by Fremont on behalf of San Leandro shall <br />be credited to San Leandro's monthly shelter billing. <br />6. Fremont will provide San Leandro residents information and assistance pertaining to <br />animal care, adoptions and animals currently available at the Shelter for either adoption <br />or redemption. <br />7. San Leandro will provide the Fremont with copies of any and all San Leandro ordinances <br />or resolutions, including all exhibits and local policies relevant to this agreement. San <br />Leandro shall provide written notice to Fremont of any changes to any of the relevant <br />ordinances, resolutions, or local policies that occur during the term of this Agre. ement. <br />8. San Leandro is responsible for the lawful seizure and impounding of all San Leandro <br />Animals subject to Animal Shelter Services. San Leandro must transport .all animals in <br />need of veterinary care to a licensed veterinarian for treatment before delivering the <br />animal to the Shelter. <br />9. San Leandro is responsible for providing Shelter staff with complete and current release <br />criteria and dates for San Leandro Animals held under special circumstances. <br />10. In addition to such other terms and conditions asare consistent with this Scope of <br />Services and the terms of the Agreement, and are reasonable and necessary to define the <br />operational details of the Agreengeiit, the implementing Agreement may provide for: <br />10.1' Fremont to collect a license.deposit established by San Leandro fee schedules fo!r <br />owner redemptions or adoptions from' San Leandro residents: <br />10.2 Additional veterinarian care. services beyond incidental care. Such care may be <br />charged to San Leandro at the actual cost to Fremont. <br />
