Whereas, the City of San Leandro has updated its Housing Element in accordance with <br />the State Office of Planning and Research Guidelines and State Housing Laws. <br />Whereas, as the Lead Agency under the California Environmental Quality Act <br />("CEQA"), the City prepared an Initial Study, determined that an Environmental Impact Report <br />(`BIR"'> would be required, and issued a combined Notice of Preparation/Initial Study on August <br />31, 2001. The Notice of Preparation was mailed to Responsible Agencies, the State <br />Clearinghouse (SCH #2001092001), and other interested parties. <br />Whereas, the City prepared a Draft Environmental Impact Report ("Draft EIR"), dated <br />November 2001, for the General Plan Update, which also included work for the Housing <br />Element Update. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of San Leandro does resolve as <br />follows: <br />The City Council does hereby accept the Housing Element Update progress report as <br />required by California State Law. <br />Introduced by Councilmember Santos on this 18`h day of July 2005, and passed and <br />adopted by the following called vote: <br />Members of the Council: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Badger, Grant, Nardine, Santos, Starosciak, Stephens; <br />Mayor Young (7) <br />NOES: None (0) <br />ABSENT: None <br />ATTEST: <br />Marian Handa, City Clerk <br />(0) <br />KLSOLUTION NO. 2005-109 Z <br />
