Does the project have impacts that are
individually limited, but cumulatively
considerable? ("Cumulatively considerable" g
means the incremental effects of a project that
are considerable when viewed in connection
with the effects of the past projects, the effects
of other current projects, and the effects of
robable future ro'ects.)
c. Does the project have environmental effects
which will cause substantial adverse effects on g
human bein s, either directly or indirectly?
EXPLANATION: The East 14 Street South Area Development Strategy is intended to implement many General Plan policies that
call for transforming the Corridor into a more pedestrian friendly area and to also encourage more compact mixed use development.
The overall development scheme that is envisioned by the Corridor Concept Plan is consistent with the General Plan's "Corridor-
Mixed Use" land use designation. Furthermore, the traffic analysis that was conducted for the Development Strategy is lower than
the overall anticipated levels of traffic that was examined as part of the certified 2002 General Plan EIR. The Development Strategy
proposes new Design Guidelines to ensure that new development is compatible with the existing built environment including the
many residential neighborhoods that are adjacent to the Comdor.
ATTACHMENTS
1.
