• Housing Services Division staff will work with property owners and managers <br />in tenant selection and apartment maintenance through the Multifamily <br />Management Assistance Program (MMAP). This program will offer <br />educational programs to at least 60 landlords on effective property <br />management. This program is through the Rental Housing Owners <br />Association (RHO). The topics include introduction to the topic, new laws for <br />2004, tips and tucks on tenant screening, tenant-landlord laws (Part I and II), <br />eviction, fair housing, Section 8, successful marketing and tenant screening <br />and working with the local police agency. <br />Obiective 2: Preserve existing supply of affordable rental and ownership housing for <br />low and moderate-income households <br />Activities: <br />• Through the Single-Family Housing Rehabilitation Program, the <br />Redevelopment Agency will provide loans to at least nine households for <br />rehabilitation of single-family homes using $300,000 from the Redevelopment <br />Housing Set-Aside Fund. <br />The minor home repair program and other rehab grant programs are <br />expected to provide loans to 40 families depending on the extent of the <br />repairs.
