The feasibility study <br />and site evaluation and potential selection were completed in 2003-04. In 2004-05, <br />CDBG funds will be used for design development, land acquisition and <br />improvements. Money for the project will include reallocated funds from previous <br />year's projects. In order to have sufficient funds for the project, the City will borrow a <br />total of $794,387 from 2005-06 and 2006-07 CDBG grants. <br />• The City will fund non-profit agencies that provide social services to low-income <br />persons and youth, the illiterate and the disabled. Based on recommendations of <br />the Human Services Commission, it is anticipated that CDBG funds would be used <br />to fund homeless prevention services, homeless services, services for special needs <br />population and RecLink. <br />• The Park renovation projects started in 2003-04 for Memorial, Cherry Grove and <br />Bonaire parks will be completed. <br />Goal C: Expand Economic Opportunities <br />Objective 1: Neighborhood Revitalization <br />Activity: <br />• As part of the ongoing commercial rehabilitation project on MacArthur Boulevard, the <br />City will relocate a PG&E power pole using an estimated $10,000 from the remaining <br />$63,000 available for this program.
