EXHIBIT A SCOPE OF SERVICES Introduction: This contract is for the design development of improvements to Cherry Grove Park. Irrtprovements include replacing two existing playground areas with new playground equipment that meets CPSC and ADA requirements. The scope of the improvements is limited to the items listed below. Design of additional construction scope items are not included in this scope of services, but could be provided as additional services with additional compensation. The estimated construction value of these improvements is approximately $350,000 based on the concept plan dated November 5, 2002. • Demolition of existing improvements • School-age play area • Pre-school play area • Swings areas (two) • Picnic tables • Benches • Pathways • Planting • Irrigation and Drainage • Landscape maintenance period (plant establishment) • Pathway lighting • Trash receptacles 3.0 Construction Documents: 3.01 Staff Coordination Meeting Meet w ith C ity S taff f o r eview s cope o f t he p roj ect a s s hown o n t he approved design development documents. Discuss results of City Council and public review, along with any desired modifications or additions. Walk site if desired with Staff to review detailed design issues as appropriate. 3.02 Construction Documents (70% submittal) The following construction documents will be prepared. Drawings will be in AutoCAD 20001. Specifications will be in Microsoft Word utilizing "Greenbook 2003" format. Estimates will be in Microsoft Excel. Up to five sets of documents will be provided under the reimbursable expenses allowance. Details to conform to City standard details where applicable.
