EXHIBIT A SCOPE OF SERVICES 1.0 DESCRIPTION OF PROJECT Contractor shall provide design services for the completion of construction documents for street renovations along West Estudillo Avenue in San Leandro, extending from San Leandro Boulevard to Hays Street and through the Washington Plaza shopping center to East 14t~ Street. This project includes the following streetscape and pedestrian improvements: • Street corner bulb-outs and curb planter islands • Decorative street lighting • Decorative pedestrian crosswalk paving and ADA ramps • Street trees, landscaping and irrigation • Historic markers and stations along the pathway • Ornamental pedestrian gateway arch and AC Transit bus shelter • Sidewalk and driveway reconstruction as necessary • Sidewalk zone improvements along the east side of San Leandro Boulevard between West Estudillo Ave and the BART Station cross walk (approx. 180 lineal feet). This area to receive streetscape, planting, and irrigation improvements • Landmark features at entrance to the Washington Square Plaza • Design of Bell Monument modifications to the Washington Square Plaza area In addition to the streetscape pedestrian improvements described above, this project will include the following: • Reconstruction of West Estudillo Avenue from Carpentier Avenue to Hays Street (approximately 7001f) to remove an accentuated crown along the street centerline • Extension of an existing storm drain along West Estudillo Avenue approximately 300' east of Clarke Street. • New decorative streetlights and undergrounding of existing overhead utility lines.
